Po Pin Lin
(Born 1970, Taiwan)
Born in 1970, Po Pin Lin grew up in the countryside of central Taiwan on
a family farm. Nearby is an art high school and he would often see art
students doing outdoor painting. Po Pin became interested in watching
those students, teaching himself to draw by studying the discarded
artwork from those students. He won many contests as a child and
eventually earned a spot at Fu Shin Art College in Taiwan.
In 1995 he moved to the United States to study at the Academy of Art
College in San Francisco, where he earned both undergraduate and

as a teacher and painter, Po Pin has become known for the cityscapes and
street scenes of his adapted hometown of San Francisco. He has
enchanted the American fine art market with his mastery of capturing
subtlety in the California landscape.
Drawing on the captivating artistic heritage of California and Russian
Impressionists, Po Pin has received many awards, including the Award of
Excellence in the Oil Painters of America national and regional
