G. Davis Lang, a navy Viet Nam Veteran, attended the John Herron Art Institute, Indianapolis, IN where he studied painting, sculpture, and design and the Paier School of Art where he graduated in 1973. He also studied under Mr. Eugene Savage, muralist and the sculptor Suzanne Winters.
As an Illustrator from November, 1975 until October, 1990 Mr. Lang produced illustrations for Warner, Dorchester, Ace, Dell, Avon, Doubleday, Scholastic Publications and Hartford Monthly and many other companies.

• March, 1998 – Took part in Computer Art Program at Education Connection, Litchfield,CT
• May, 1999 – October, 2002 – Teaching art at Prime Time Mental Health Facility in Torrington, CT
• October 1 – December 30, 1999 – Participated in "A Battery of Work" show at the Duracell Corporation in Danbury, CT
• October 30 – November 21, 1999 – Displayed at the Washington Art Association Faculty Show in Washington, CT
• June 10, 2001 - Painted a portrait of Archibald Bannatyne, inventor of the dollar watch for Timex Corp. It currently hangs in the
Timexpo Museum of Waterbury, CT.
• August 4 – September 9, 2001 – Participated in Artwell’s Fifth Annual Open Juried Exhibition, Torrington, CT -
Won the Litchfield Bancorp Best of Show Award
• October 5 – 8, 2001 – Exhibited in the Milton Public Hall Association’s "Fall Arts and Crafts Show" in Milton, CT

• September 15, 2006 - Given the "Best of Landscape" Award for "Lackawanna" by the International Guild of Realism
• March 31, 2007 - April 29, 2007 - Exhibited in the "Show for a Show" at Artwell Gallery, Torrington, CT
